What is a Central Vacuum?

A central vacuum unit is designed to remove dirt and debris from your home by sending it through a series of tubes to a collection receptacle in a remote location, such as a basement or garage.

Why Install a Central Vacuum?

Central vacs are becoming increasingly popular because they are convenient, efficient, and as a permanent appliance, will add value to your home. You can keep your house clean without having to drag a portable unit from room to room and on average you will only need to change the bag every 3 months. They may cost you more upfront than a traditional portable vacuum, but they will save you money in the long run and are more powerful, provide better indoor air quality and tend to be much quieter.

A central vacuum system uses inlets in various locations around your house. You simply move the vacuum hose from room to room and connect it to an inlet. Our installation professionals can help you determine how many inlets you may need and the best places to put them. You can even install an automatic dustpan into which you simply sweep dirt with a regular broom.

Is a Central Vac Right for My Home?

There are a few things to consider as you are making your decision about installing a central vacuum. You will have to think about the power unit, the power brush and if you need a bag or canister unit. Thankfully we at Answer Heating & Cooling are central vacuum experts and will gladly answer any questions you have and guide you through the process of choosing the unit that is right for your home.

Our central vacuum system of choice is Beam by Electrolux.
